Job Description (RESEARCH ASSOCIATE – DATA SCIENCE)

: The candidates will be expected to assist with an ongoing research project related to agriculture focusing on enhancing women’s resilience and empowerment. The candidate will be responsible for providing data-driven insights from ongoing field surveys, secondary data, etc. The role will require developing a dashboard and resource hub from existing data on various platforms.

Eligibility/ Required qualifications, skills, and attitudes:

Bachelor’s or Post Graduate degree in data science, statistics, engineering, or a relate dscience field.
 Experience in quantitative data collection, processing, and analysis.
Knowledge of R, Python, Stata, and GIS applications.
Well-developed knowledge of data science methods, including machine learning approaches to predictive analytics and data visualization.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment as a member of a diverse work team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
The selected candidate should exhibit the following competencies: Problem-Solving and Decision Making, Teamwork, and Communication

Duration:

The initial appointment for the position is for 12 months, with a possibility of an extension, which is subject to performance and the continuity of the project.

Compensation:

Compensation will be commensurate with the qualification and experience.
