Job Description (Junior Research Fellow/Junior Project fellow)

Applications are invited for following purely project based temporary position under following project at Garhwal Regional Centre of the Institute. Candidate having appropriate qualifications in relevant subject/specialization with consistently good academic records and experience may send their complete application in the prescribed format (Annexure-I) with all supporting documents to the undersigned by e-mail: (garhwalunit@gmail.com) on or before 15 February, 2022. It is essential to mention the position with serial number and name of the project applied for in the subject line of e-mail and also in the application form. The shortlisted candidates will be informed separately about the date of interview. The interview will be held through virtual mode (Audio/Video).

1.Junior Research Fellow/Junior Project fellow (01 No.)   Rs.31,000/+HRA (For NET qualified or Post Graduate degree in Professional course)/ Junior Project fellow (Rs. 20000/+HRA   Age Limit: 28 years*First class in Master degree in (M.Sc/M.Tech/M.E/ other relevant) in Earth Sciences/  Remote Sensing & GIS/ Civil Engg./Water resources/ /Geo- informatics/Geology or SciencePreference will be given to the candidate having experience/ knowledge of watershed management/field investigation/ hydrological simulation modelling for rainfall-runoff, HECRAS, SWAT or similar hydrological model/ Remote sensing & GIS, water Resource management, Exposure to Matlab and RStudio .NMHS funded projects:- Cumulative Impact Assessment for Cascading Interventions in Himalayan Rivers  Sh. S. Tarafdar”           
2.Junior Project Fellow (JPF) (01 No.)   @ Rs. 20,000/- PM + HRA per month as per the Institite norms.   Age Limit: 28 years*First class in Master degree in (M.Sc/M.Tech/M.E/ other relevant) Geology (Earth Sciences)  Remote Sensing & GIS/ Civil Engg./Water resources/ /Geoinformatics or SciencePreference will be given to the candidate having experience/ knowledge of watershed management/field investigation (Remote sensing & GIS, water Resource management, Exposure to Matlab and RStudio .)NMHS funded project:- “Protocol for Rejuvenation of Springsin Uttarakhand with due Preparedness for Climate Change”

Age Relaxation: *Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST/Women/PH or OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms.

Item No. 1. Name given here should be the same as given in your matriculation/higher secondary certificate and degree certificates. If there is a change, addition or deletion, an affidavit from a Notary Public/Magistrate is necessary.

Item No.9. In case grades are awarded, please attach the sheet giving conversion of grades to percentage of marks.
